Meet Sophia Davis
Posted on Feb 5th, 2026

Why Sonoma Verde Felt Right
“We moved to Sonoma Verde because it puts us right in the middle of the places and people we love,” Sophia shares. With families spread across New York, Florida, and Alabama, Sonoma Verde became the perfect home base, peaceful, welcoming, and connected.
“My favorite thing about living here is the community vibe,” she adds. “People really look out for one another. There’s a calm here that lets you breathe a little deeper.”
Creating Space for Calm and Connection
Many residents recognize Sophia from her sound bowl meditation sessions she offers at the amenity center. These gatherings encourage neighbors to slow down, relax, and reconnect, something many of us don’t get enough of in daily life. The sessions have been featured in the Sonoma Scoop and on our community Facebook page, and they’ve quickly become a favorite for residents looking to unwind.
The Davis family also takes part in our monthly Wellness Days hosted by Lifestyle Director Mia. Each event includes a 30-minute sound bowl meditation along with open conversations about what wellness means to each of us. “We’ve done things like sugar scrubs and body butter before meditation,” Sophia says. “Next up, we’re planning organic tea sampling and a few other fun ideas. It’s all about bringing a little more balance and purpose into everyday life.”
Sophia’s sound bath sessions are designed to be welcoming and relaxed, all ages and experience levels welcome. Participants settle in comfortably, seated or lying down, while gentle sounds and vibrations help guide the body and mind into a calmer, more restful state. Each session is a little different, intuitively guided, and may include a mix of singing bowls, chimes, and other soothing instruments. Mats, blankets, and essential oils are often available to help everyone feel at ease.
Outdoor community meditation sessions will resume in April as the weather warms.
A Life of Service, and Heart
Both William and Sophia are retired Army veterans, and their dedication to service continues well beyond their military careers. Whether they’re gardening, walking the neighborhood, or lending a hand where it’s needed, they remain deeply connected to the community around them.
Sophia is also a certified Meditation Guide and has spent more than 11 years creating organic whipped body butters and soaps. What began as a personal passion has grown into So Sattva, her wellness brand focused on intentional living and inner balance.
The name blends two meaningful ideas:
Sophia, meaning wisdom in Greek, and
Sattva, a Sanskrit word representing clarity, truth, purity, and balance.
Through So Sattva, Sophia offers handcrafted skincare, meditation practices for everyday life, and even a men’s care line. “It’s more than a brand,” she explains. “It’s a space for gentle reconnection—for people who want to slow down, breathe deeper, and take care of themselves and those they love.”
A Family Living with Purpose
Their son Kenai, 12, brings plenty of energy and curiosity to the family. He’s homeschooled and thriving, spending his time exploring MMA, tennis, golf, swimming, and, of course, a bit of gaming. His enthusiasm reflects the thoughtful balance his parents work hard to create at home. When I asked Sophia what she hopes to see more of in the future, She didn’t hesitate: “More opportunities for neighbors to come together and really connect.” With families like the Davises here, that sense of connection already feels well underway.
“If someone asked me about moving to Sonoma Verde,” Sophia says, “I’d tell them it’s a place where you can settle in, feel safe, and be surrounded by good people. It’s peaceful, family-friendly, and full of potential.”
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, So Sattva makes a wonderful stop for meaningful, locally made gifts. You can explore Sophia’s handcrafted products by visiting www.sosattvawellness.com and following So Sattva Wellness on Facebook.
These aren’t just beautiful, luxurious products, you’re shopping local, supporting someone right here in our own neighborhood, and that feels especially good.
Sophia truly stands behind everything she creates, and the scents alone are something you have to experience for yourself. It’s the kind of gift that feels thoughtful, intentional, and full of care.
