Are you interested in joining in on a "Family Game Night"? Let's get together and talk details for starting up a Game Night group in our community. We will meet at the Amenity Center on Thursday, November 3rd at 6:30 pm. This is just an interest meeting to see how many residents would like more information. No registration required.

The first Sunday in November is when Daylight Saving Time ends in most areas of the United States, so don't forget to turn your clocks back (fall back) one hour on Sunday, November 6th (or before you go to bed on Saturday night)!

If you have a preschooler, you are invited to join us for "Toddler Time", Monday, November 7th at 10:00am at the Amenity Center. We will sing songs, have a story time (led by McLendon-Chisholm Mayor, Keith Short), color a fall picture and have a snack.

 

A parent must be in attendance with the preschooler.

 

Please bring your Amenity Access Card with you so you can access the entrance gate.

 

 

Tuesday, November 8, 2022 is the day we cast ballots to select public officials - from local to the national government. Take time to make your vote count.

Veterans Day is a United States holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars, and Veterans Day 2022 will occur on Friday, November 11th. In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in World War I, then known as “the Great War.” We salute all of our community Veterans here at Sonoma Verde and beyond and appreciate all that you have done for our country.

Area residents are invited to attend the Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 11:00 to 11:30am at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 West FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm. Honoring those who have served and those are serving.

Sonoma Verde presents: A Holiday Marketplace with lots of vendors for your holiday shopping or just picking up something special. There will also be a food truck, face painters, raffle drawings and photo opportunities all at the Amenity Center, and complete with holiday music to get you in the mood for the holidays! No registration required. Stop by between 11:00am and 2:00pm.

World Kindness Day - Sunday, November 13, 2022 - Is an international holiday celebrated to highlight good deeds in the community, focusing on the positive power and the common thread of kindness that binds us. Be inspired to do random acts of kindness today and everyday! You'll be surprised how making others feel good, makes you feel good!

 

 

Calling all ladies to our monthly "Wine & Women" event. This is a resident let gathering that takes place monthly for the ladies of Sonoma Verde. Hosted at a different home each month, this is a time to gather as women and build relationships within our community.

 

Wine will be provided by the host; if you are interested in bringing snacks or appetizers for this event, please email Kahyla Stevens at Kahyla.stevens@outlook.com.

Thanksgiving Day in the United States is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November each year. Traditionally it is a time to give thanks for all the sacrifice and hard work done for the harvest. In modern times people take time off work (4 day weekend starting Thursday) and spend time with family and friends over a large feast held on Thanksgiving Day. We wish you a happy and safe weekend as you spend time with your loved ones.

The Sonoma Verde Association Office will be closed today in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday! Have a safe and happy weekend with your loved ones.
